적용 To produce dimethyl formamide from dimethylamine (DMA) and carbon monoxide (CO).
설명 Description: In this process, carbon monoxide and dimethylamine are reacted in the presence of a catalyst and solvent at high pressure and moderate temperatures in a specialized reactor (1) to produce dimethyl formamide. The reactor effluent is then distilled (3,4) to produce dimethyl formamide, which is further purified (5) to produce high quality solvent and fiber-grade product. Solvent and excess dimethylamine are fed back to the reactor. Catalyst is removed continuously from the system.

Yields: CO yield depends on concentration, and concentrations as low as 25% CO can be used. DMA yield 95%.
