생산물 C3-C5 mono-olefins
적용 For production of C3-C5 mono-olefins.
설명 Description: This adiabatic fixed bed catalytic process operates selectively on a single component or mixed feedstock to produce single or mixed mono-olefins.
In a typical operation for isobutylene from isobutanes, the feed is preheated to reaction temperature against reactor effluent and in a heater prior to contact with catalyst in horizontal reactors. After being cooled by generating steam and by exchange, effluent is compressed. C3 + material in uncondensed gases is recovered cryogenically. Liquid product is stabilized and then either fractionated to recover the desired product or, as is the case for isobutylene to MTBE, selectively reacted to extract the product olefin.
Power-operated valves are controlled by a cycle timer which programs the reaction, purging and regeneration steps. Hydrocarbons are purged from the onstream reactor prior to regeneration, and combustion gases are purged after regeneration.
The Catofin catalyst is in the form of cylindrical pellets consisting of active alumina impregnated with chromic oxide. Catalyst is regenerated in the reactors by burning off the coke formed during reaction with preheated air.

Operating conditions: Are chosen to give essentially adiabatic operation. The heat required for the endothermic reaction during the onstream period is supplied during catalyst regeneration. The major process conditions normally will be within the following ranges:

Temperature, ℉
Pressure, in. HG absolute
Space velocity, v/h/v
Onstream period, min
1,000 - 1,400
10 - 20
<1
7 - 15

Yields: When making butylenes or propylene, ultimate yields of olefin from paraffin will be 75 to 90 weight percent of converted material. The optimum yield is determined by comparison of feed value vs. operating costs.
