Removal of acid brown 348 dye from aqueous solution by ultrasound irradiated exfoliated graphite
Acid brown 348 dye was removed From aqueous solution using ultrasound-assisted adsorption oil exfoliated graphite. The effects of relevant parameters, namely, contact time, sorbent dosage, temperature, initial dye concentration and pH have been investigated. The results show that ultrasound irradiation significantly improves removal of acid brown 348 from aqueous solutions in presence of exfoliated graphite. The ultrasound/exfoliated graphite process yielded 90% removal rate within 120 min using 2.0 g L-1 exfoliated graphite at pH 1 and 40 degrees C.
