Application of ion-exchange resins in the separation of organic acids in biotechnological processes. Part I - Sorption equilibria
This paper presents results of investigations performed in ideal mixing conditions whose aims were to determine properties of selected ion-exchange resins for citric and lactic acids separation from fermentation liquid, to define sorption isotherms for citric and lactic acid at different temperatures and to determine diffusion coefficient inside sorbent particle during downstream processing of organic acids by chromatographic method.
