Methanol synthesis from carbon dioxide and hydrogen
Carbon dioxide hydrogenation to methanol represents one of the most important options in CO2 Mitigation. Results of catalyst developing were presented have been performed in our laboratory. The catalysts containing CuO, ZnO, Al2O3 and ZrO2 were prepared by the method of decomposition of citrates. The catalysts tests were carried out in a tubular high-pressure fixed bed reactor. The catalysts exhibit remarkable high stability and high selectivity. The comparison between new catalyst, Polish industrial catalyst and the catalyst CuO/ZnO/Al2O3 has been done. The effects of temperature, pressure and space velocity were determined.
