New posibilities in design of reverse-flow reactors
A new design of a reverse-flow reactor (RFR) is investigated. It consists of two seperated catalytic beds inside the reactor. There is an industrial problem of nonreacted gases accumulated in dead zones of RFR. When a change in direction of the flow is performed this gas is descharged into atmosphere. The proposed design of the reactor may serve as a remedy to this problem.
