The main aim of this paper was the analysis of particle residence time in the dryer. The residence time is the key parameter necessary in designing of spray drying process. The application of a laser technique enabled us to determine the residence time of particles in the spray drying tower. These relationships might be applied in any type of a co-current spray drying process.
