Characterization of fine porous particles using different techniques
Fine carbonaceous and mineral adsorbents and a cracking catalyst were investigated by the method of texture evaluation of porous materials through the joined use of densimetric, adsorptive and mercury porosimetry techniques. This analysis enables us to determine volumes of micro-, meso-, and macropores present in the whole volume of the particles, as well as to evaluate the porosity. The surface area or the average radius of pores were also calculated.
