Rheological analysis of dynamic processes at a gas-liquid interface. I. Theory
The paper is focused on mechanical effects related to deformations of the gas-liquid interface in the presence of surfactants. It was demonstrated that the reaction of a surface in the form of surface tension variation could be described on the ground of two-dimensional rheology. The formalism of surface rheology and its application to visco-elastic surface of surfactant solutions were presented. A general method of determination of the response coefficients from rheometric data was proposed.
