CFD modelling of two-phase flows in an SMX static mixer
Modelling of laminar, two-phase liquid-liquid flows in a static mixer formed by six inserts of the SMX type was carried out. The refined CMC solution constituted the continuous phase and silicon oils were the dispersed phase. The CFD numerical modelling of the flow of the two Newtonian fluids was performed with the application of both the Eulerian and Lagrangian approaches.
