Modelling of drying process with jet impinging on a wet surface
In this study, the CFD methods were used to describe the impinging jet drying process. Laminar and turbulent flows with process parameters relevant to industrial drying conditions were considered with the air jet was perpendicular to the flat drying surface. For a single nozzle, the profiles of velocity, temperature, humidity at the moist surface and local values of the evaporating rate were obtained.
