Measurement and prediction of adsorption equilibria of ternary mixture of acetone, methanol and benzene on activated carbon
The results of experimental studies of adsorption of acetone, methanol, benzene and their ternary mixture on activated carbon were presented in this work. The equations of Langmuir, Freundlich-Langmuir, Toth and Dubinin-Astakhov were used for correlation of the experimental data for pure components. Experimental data for the mixture were compared with prediction by applying extended Langmuir and Freundlich-Langmuir equations, the model developed by Doong and Yang, and the ideal adsorbed solution (IAS) theory.
