Effect of solution entrainment on the performance of a fractional crystallization process with two solid recycles
The influence of the entrainment of mother liquor with the crystals separated in a ctystallization unit on the performance of a three-stage crystallization process with two solid recycles is examined. Anhydrous sodium sulphate is separated in the process from the water solution containing sodium sulphate and sulphuric acid. Two crystallization systems differing in the destination of NaHSO4 recycle are analyzed.
