Application of domestic activated carbons for the removal of organic compounds from water
The object of the presented paper was to determine the effectiveness of the removal of model organic compounds (phenol and humic acids) during adsorption on powdered activated carbon (PAC). Five different PAC were applied in the experiments. An attempt to specify the effect of physicochemical characteristics of PAC on their adsorption properties was also made.
