Numerical simulation of termomechanical phenomena during convective drying of the cylinder made of birch wood
The equations of thermomechanical model of drying of wood are presented. The numerical simulations of convective drying of cylindrical sample made of birch wood are performed. In the curse of analysis the preheating, first and second periods of drying are investigated. The resulting drying curve, moisture content distributions and extreme drying stresses are presented. The influence of the stresses on fracturing is discussed.
