Dispersive flow of nearcritical water in a hydrothermal tubular reactor
The numerical solutions of convection-diffusion equation were used to study the dispersion phenomenon of near-critical water during a tube flow. Numerical results gave an insight into the local tracer concentration distribution into the moving stream at any flow time, as well as the mean residence time distribution. The effect of convection and diffusion mechanisms and the process parameters on the dispersion was discussed.
