Results of investigations aiming at the determination of interfacial area in the mixer with a self-aspirating disk impeller are presented in this paper. Relations enabling the calculations of this surface depending on process parameters are proposed. They allowed us to determine mass transfer coefficients in the tested systems. Maximum values were obtained for the modified Froude number equal to 0.8.
