Thermodynamic of the synthesis of methyl acrylate
The equilibrium of the synthesis of methyl acrylate was studied in a batch reactor. The reaction equilibrium constantd was determined experimentally in the range 39-60degreesC. The standard molar reaction properties were obtained at 298 K: DeltaH(0) = 26698.2 J(.)mol(-1), DeltaG(0) = -3765.7 J(.)mol(-1) and DeltaS(0) = 102.18 J(.)mol(-1.)K(-1). The standard molar properties of formation of acrylic acid in the liquid phase at 298 K were estimated.
