The aim of this paper is to show the influence of the moisture content in granular material on the angle of the pile slope. An estimation of the slope angle is based on the extended Coulomb criterion, which includes the saturation parameter. Limestone piles were considered as a stored granular material. Measurements of strength parameters was carried out on the direct shear cell.
