Analysis of rotor stresses in a gas turbine under unsteady operational conditions
The analysis concerns the strength state of a gas turbine rotor under unsteady conditions of operation. A four-stage gas turbine is described. The analysis includes its performance during start-ups and shut-downs as well as off-design operation for a modified fuel composition. Thermal boundary conditions at the rotor surface have been determined. Exemplary variations of maximal stresses for a normal and fast start-up as well as for emergency shut-down are given.
