Modelling of spray-freezing with supercritical fluids
The process of spray-freezing based on carbon dioxide expansion cooling effect is modelled using the CFD. The model describes dispersion and freezing of drops containing an aqueous solution of bioactive molecules and stabilizing agents in the turbulent flow field of compressible medium. The work is related to production of bioactive powders for pharmaceutical applications.
