Relaxation time and mixing length in fluid dispersion models
The results of modelling of mass dispersion have been presented based on the methods of the length scale as well as on the time scale. The calculated values of the dispersion coefficients have been compared based on the dispersion model taking into account the length scale as well as a mean relative velocity between the fluid and a dispersed phase. It-was found that the model describes correctly the mechanism of the anisotropy in two-phase flow in which the fluid is mixed by solid particles, bubbles or drops. The approach to calculate the mean square displacement of fluid element for the radial and longitudinal dispersion was found.
