Kinetics of oxyethylation of fatty acid methyl ester in a batch reactor
Mathematical model of the oxyethylation of fatty acid methyl esters in a batch reactor has been presented. It was assumed that the main resistance of mass transfer is concentrated in the liquid phase. Main parameters of the model (the mass transfer coefficient and rate constants of the consecutive reaction steps) have been determined based on experimental time dependences of pressure changes and concentration of the final product in a batch reactor.
