The method is presented for the improvement of the sorption properties of calcium carbonate in dry combustion-gas desulfurization. The principle of mechanical activation is discussed and the equipment for carrying out activation is presented with the results of laboratory tests. In addition, the results from the first industrial mechanical activation of the installation operating at the Turow Power Plant are given.
