The measurements and calculations of the turbulence intensity, kinetic energy of turbulence and the dissipation rate of turbulence kinetic energy for a stirred vessel equipped with two impellers are presented. The dissipation rate of the turbulence kinetic energy was determined on the basis of the equation epsilon = C(u'(3)/L), where the C constant was calculated in advance for various impeller systems and various distances between the impellers.
