Influence of forced pulsations on continuous stirred tank reactor operation
Possible use of unsteady state conditions achieved by deliberate forced feed composition disturbances to improve the running operation of a isothermal continuous stirred tank reactor is presented. Model successive and parallel reactions are analysed. Forced pulsations have a form of sinusoidal or square waves. The simulation results in both disturbance cases are compared with the results obtained for a steady state.
