Solubility of ferulic acid and tetramethylpyrazine in supercritical carbon dioxide
The solubility of ferulic acid (3-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-2-propenoic acid) and tetramethylpyrazine (2,3,5,6,-tetramethylpyrazine) in supercritical carbon dioxide (SC-C02) was determined at temperatures from (308 to 338) K and pressures from (10 to 35) MPa. The data presented in this work will help to assess possibility of extraction from Ligusticum chuanxiong with SC-C02. Experimental data of the solubility of ferulic acid and tetramethylpyrazine were correlated by a Chrastil equation, and the values of average absolute relative deviation (AARD) were 12.92 % and 4.23 %.
