Solubility of Novel CO2-Soluble Pyridine Derivatives in Supercritical Carbon Dioxide
The solubility of newly synthesized amide-group-containing pyridine derivatives, N-hexyl-N-(4-pyridyl)pentadecafluorooctanamide, N-hexyl-N-(4-pyridyl)octanamide, and N-(4-pyridyl)pentadecafluorooctanamide in supercritical carbon dioxide (Sc-CO2) was determined at temperatures ranging from (313 to 343) K and pressures ranging from (8.8 to 24.9) MPa. The solubility of the amide-containing pyridine series was determined primarily by variations in the molecular structure of the solutes, temperature, and pressure. The measured solubility was satisfactorily correlated by a semiempirical model.
