Acid Dissociation Constants of Some Novel Isatin Thiosemicarbazone Derivatives
The acid dissociation constants (pK(a)) of five novel biologically active isatin thiosemicarbazone derivatives were determined by a UV-visible spectrophotometric technique at (25 +/- 0.1) degrees C. The deprotonations for all studied molecules were found to occur at the substituted fa-amino group, whereas the protonation seems to take place at the oxo group of the five-membered ring.
