The maximum sorption of nitroglycerine (NG) in polymeric material was measured in Part I. The results of the sorption is used to determine the average diffusion coefficient for each polymer, utilizing Fick’s second law. These values are compared to the chlorine content in the polymer backbone to ascertain whether the chlorine has any influence in lowering the diffusion coefficient.
