Reactive melt-mixing of rubber crumb with polypropylene is an innovative way for recycling of waste rubber. Elastomeric Alloys produced this way on commercially available equipment by a patented technology can be easily injection molded and show the material properties of Thermoplastic elastomers (TPE). The results of static and dynamic material testings are presented. The material properties of the EAs remain constant even after recycling for several times.
