Polyarylsulphones are amorphous high temperature thermoplastics that fulfil the increasing requirements of modern materials through a balanced performance profile and a convincing price performance ratio. As representatives of high performance plastics they increasingly make partial substitution of classical materials such as metals or ceramics possible (Fig. 1).
