New chemical blowing agent systems are making it possible to produce components in wall thicknesses of 3 mm max. with no sink marks and excellent surface quality on conventional injection moulding machines. At the same time, cycles are 30 % faster. For engineering plastics, blowing agents with extra-high decomposition temperatures (> 270 degreesC) are being used.
