Part testing: Long fibre reinforced thermoplastics
The accurate, reproducible determination of the fibre length distribution in real parts has so far been very time-consuming and therefore highly cost-intensive. With a simple test method oriented to practical conditions, it has now become possible to measure and compare the relationship between the process-induced reduction in fibre length, the interphase properties and the resultant mechanical properties on real parts, also under industrial-like conditions.
