Microfluidic systems with integrated semiconductor chips
MICRO-INJECTION MOULDING. Combining microfluidic systems and electronic components usually requires a joining process. However the joints are usually leaky and it is sometimes a problem to integrate the parts. As an alternative, the possibility was investigated of manufacturing a part by injection/insert moulding of the semiconductor chip, and producing a microfluidic system by micro-injection moulding with the polymers POM and PMMA.
