This article is concerned with the characterization of unsaturated polyester (UP) resins by conventional gel permeation chromatography (GPC), GPC connected with multiangle laser light scattering detector (GPC-MALLS), and reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The ability of particular methods to analyze UP resins is demonstrated in several examples.
