Injection molding machinery
Developments in injection molding machines continue steadily as competition in performance and cost heats up. Potential customers have raised their expectations as they search for the best combination of machine capability and value. The stream of new electric machines-from more major suppliers-reflects the all-electrics' advantages of reduced energy usage, accurate molding cycle control, shorter cycle times, lower scrap rates, and elimination of hydraulic oil and the associated maintenance requirements, Yet at the same time, hydraulic, toggle, and hybrid designs continue to generate strong interest, in recognition of their established benefits. As a result, injection molding machinery retains and cultivates its diverse technology base as manufacturers exploit emerging mechanical, electrical, and electronic refinements in order to produce improved plastics molding equipment.
