Stretching the envelope for new gains
The plastics additives industry continues turning out new products to improve the appearance, processability, and performance of polymers. Numerous developments in colorants and other aesthetic property modifiers provide more ways to differentiate plastics products. Increased demand for flame retardancy has resulted in new FR products for added safety. Additives extend the shelf life of contents in transparent packaging, increase productivity through reduced cycle times, and stretch the envelope for product designers and processors. This report is a compilation of information on additives for plastics that have been introduced this year, grouped by functional type and manufacturer, in alphabetical order.
