Developers of several specialty Molding technologies are upgrading their processes in ways that further enhance part design and manufacturability. The technologies are water-assist molding, which is relatively new; gas-assist molding; and microcellular foam molding. Developers tout how these processes improve the performance, productivity, and aesthetics of parts, and say they can increase business and profitability for molders.
