Alkylation of styrene with methanol on modified high-silica pentasil-type zeolites was studied. The dependence of alkylate content on temperature, contact time, reactants ratio, dilution with nitrogen, and reaction time was examined. The optimum conditions of methylation on the styrene ring were found.
