Nitrogen-, chloro-, and phosphorus-containing derivatives of 1-alkylthio-3-R'-propanol-2 were synthesized on the basis of the C-2-C-5 mercaptan fraction isolated in refining of wide hydrocarbon fractions of the Orenburg gas condensate. The synthesized compounds were shown to be high-performance antiwear, antiseize, and antirust additives to the M-11 base oil.
