Effect of olefin concentration on the degradation of tert-butyl hydroperoxide and the epoxidation of octene-1 in the presence of molybdenum boride
The effect of the octene-1 concentration on the degradation of tert-butyl hydroperoxide and olefin epoxidation by the hydroperoxide in the presence of molybdenum boride MoB2 as a catalyst was studied. A kinetic scheme for the process involving the primary formation of a catalyst-hydroperoxide complex in the degradation and a catalyst-olefin complex in the epoxidation is proposed.
