Kinetics and mechanism of the catalytic hydration of 2-methylbutene-2 oxide
The kinetics of the hydration of 2-methylbutene-2 oxide in the presence of bis(ethandiol1,2)molybdate has been studied. The mathematical description of oxide consumption and formation of 2-methylbutanediol has been obtained. The most probable scheme for the the process has been proposed. The main kinetic constants have been calculated.
