Improvement of the measurement process used to characterize semicrystalline polymers by differential scanning calorimetry
Taguchi methodology has been applied to a differential scanning calorimeter to investigate the variability detected in the results of experiments performed under the same repeated conditions. An analysis of the measurement process was performed. As a consequence, the most important factors that have influence on the measurements were deduced and the way to minimize the variability of the experimental results was obtained. Therefore, an improvement of the measurement process has been achieved.
