The process and the quality of mineral fertilizers based on urea-superphosphate (USP) and manufactured at the Zaklady Chemiczne "Siarkopol"
A review with 26 refs. covering the 1995-9 lab and technical-scale studies on preparation of USP and granulation of various USP-based fertilizers. Granulation was carried out in the presence of ammonia gas and steam. Agricultural tests were successful. Three types of N(low)-P-K(high)-Mg(high) fertilizers proved very effective for the vegetation of selected trees (in reclaimed areas). The USP-type fertilizer was found to be more effective than single superphosphate and urea used simultaneously.
