oil refinery gas emissions, waste water and solid waste quantities generated in Poland were given, with particular reference to Poland's largest PKN Orien SA oil refinery. The adjustive activities were outlined, intended to meet the EU Directives in air protection, to improve refinery's waste water management, and to minimize solid wastes, as also those concerned with refinery's noise control and protection of refinery's soil-water system The environmental effects accompanying the introduction of reformulated fuels were emphasized.
