The paper pulp beating process in relation to carrier liquid type
A review with 16 refs. covering pulp beating in polar liquids (MeOH, PrOH, BuOH) elucidating better the role of water which is described in more detail. Unlike water, alkanols augmented the undesirable beating effects, i.e., production of shorter and comminuted fibers.
