Modelling and optimization of the process of cyclohexane oxidation
A kinetic model of noncatalyzed oxidn. of cyclohexane was presented. Reaction rate consts. and activation energies were detd. from exptl. data measured in a lab. reactor. A model of the hydrodynamics of gas bubbling through a liq. layer was developed. The two models were integrated into a comprehensive model of the whole process of oxidn. in an industrial reactor. Numerical simulations of an industrial reactor were used to optimize the process.
