A new process for continuous sapon. of fatty acid Me esters to Na soaps was developed. The reaction rate was 2,0 kg/dm(3)-h at 120 degrees C. The products had light color (1 no. 9), low content of free alkalies (0. 12 %) and fulfilled the requirements of the Polish std. for domestic hard soaps. The process is entirely wasteless and can replace the conventional process for sapon. of fats in boiling pots.
