Use of photocurable compositions based on acrylate coating resins for production of thick-wall goods
Four acrylate resins preselected from 15 com. products were processed by dissolution of a com. 2,2-dimethoxy-2-phenylacetophenone photoinitiator (0.2%) addition of a mineral (optionally modified) filler, sonification in an ultrasound bath, and photopolymn. at 60 degrees C in 1 to 5 mm thick layer under Ar or air and radiation intensify 2.75 mW/cm(2) (wavelength 365 nm). The polymn. rate was detd. by the photo DSC method. The inhibiting effect of air 0 on the polymn. rate was evidenced. The products were studied for tensile and bending strength, impact resistance and hardness. The best mech. properties showed the filled Ebecryl 8307 resin.
